ABOUT ICC RUSSIA - GERMANY

Rotary Inter-country Committee  Russia - Germany promote relationship between Russia and Germany to increase fellowship and intercultural understanding among the people, foster stronger ties between members, clubs, and districts and establish networks across borders.

ICC OBJECTIVES

• increase understanding of Rotary of political levels
• help to grow Rotary in Russia: membership level in clubs
• encourage and support partnership between russian and german clubs
• maintain contacts on district level
• maintain and develop friendship and understanding between Russia and Germany
• increase knowledge of the respective other country
• cooperate with other ICCs
• promote Cultural exchange
• promote Youth exchanges
• promote Vocational exchange

HISTORY
  • 1998

    Reviving of the ICC Russia - Germany. Dr. Stephan Stein was appointed the Head of Russian section.

  • December, 2007

    Letter of Intent of December 2007, on which Governor Elect Vladimir Vasilkov, District 2220 and Governor Elect Uwe Kayser District 1810 agreed in St. Petersburg.

  • March, 2010

    The first official partnership between a Russian and a German Club was agreed in March 2010 between RC Remscheid and RC Moscow Humboldt

  • December,  2012

    The second official partnership between a German and a Russian Club was agreed upon and signed in Berlin at the embassy of the Russian Federation between RC Kaliningrad and RC Berlin-Schloss Köpenick.
